The 35th Poke Salat Festival is one of the longest-running Festivals held in North Alabama. It fills the streets of Downtown Arab with vendors, food trucks and interactive games. The festival has fun and games for visitors of all ages, and is free to enjoy!
1st Ave NW becomes Artisan Avenue for the two days, hosting all artisans and crafters. Vendors must exhibit 100% handmade items to be considered for Artisan Avenue. Civic Groups, school groups, churches, clubs and organizations, businesses, and more are set up to show off their wares and give out information about their groups. There are representatives from a variety of direct sales companies also there to provide information about their companies.
The Poke Salat Food Court is located on 1st Street NW – right by the courtyard that houses the public bathrooms. You can choose from a variety of foods which typically includes BBQ, Burgers, Philly Cheese Steaks, Polish Sausage, Hot Dogs, Lemonade, Funnel Cakes, Corn Dogs, Chicken Fingers, Snow Cones and of course Poke Salat. The festival is no longer accepting applications for the food court, but you may request to be added to the waiting list by emailing #ob#cbxrfnyngsrfgviny#at#tznvy.pbz#ob#.
OTELCO will have a booth at the festival, located near our Arab office. We encourage everyone to stop by to grab some swag and check out our LightWave Fiber Internet.
