The Arab Historical Society & the Arab Historic Village, in partnership with the Arab Parks & Recreation Department, present “Back When Day.” A day for Village-goers to interact with volunteers who will be spending the day:
- Grinding Cornmeal
- Teaching School the Way it Used to be Taught
- Playing Checkers in the Old Country Store
- Telling Stories of Things from Way “Back When”
Crafts will be provided for the littles & local groups will be performing Blue Grass & Southern Gospel music. Pintos & turnip greens will be sold to anyone lookin’ for some good ‘ole Southern cookin’ like Maw Maw used to make. ADMISSION IS FREE.
