Alabama

Rock and Glow 5K – Cullman, AL

Cullman County Parks and Rec has canceled all their events for the next 30 days. Along with the Rock and Glow 5k, cancellations and postponements include:

  • Sportsman Lake Park Easter Egg Hunt is canceled.
  • The AHSRA Rodeo at the Ag Center is canceled.
  • The upcoming Barrel race at the Ag Center is canceled.
  • The Sportsman Lake yard sale will be rescheduled for July 18, 2020
  • The Smith Lake yard sale will be rescheduled for May 9, 2020

Alabama Herpetological Society – Guntersville, AL

Lake Guntersville State Park has canceled park sponsored activities until April. They released the following statement on their website:

“To ensure the safety of our patrons, employees, and guests, all spring break and park sponsored activities have been canceled and will be revisited on April 11, 2020. At this time, and until further notice, our State Parks remain open.  If you are visiting our park, please do contact the park naturalist at #ob#Zvpunrye.Rmryy#at#qpae.nynonzn.tbi#ob# if you are interested in eagle watching, guided hikes, or anything else our over 6,000-acre park has to offer; allowing for social distancing of 6ft.

Maine

Maple Sunday

The Maine Maple Sunday Weekend has been postponed. The Maine Maple Producers Association released the following statement on their website:

“As COVID-19 continues to spread and based on the recommendations from the CDC and local government officials, the Maine Maple Producers Association has announced that all Maine Maple Sunday Weekend® events should be postponed.

This was a very difficult decision and will significantly impact all members across the state, but as an association, we feel this is the right thing to do for public health. We plan to host Maine Maple Sunday Weekend® when the timing is right. In the meantime, we encourage you to support your local maple producers in other ways during the maple season. You can find updates on a future event date and a member directory with phone numbers and websites to order products from your local Maine maple producers at mainemapleproducers.com”.

 

Psychic Dinner – Madison, ME

Church Supper – Gray, ME

The Congregational Church of Gray has canceled their supper scheduled for Match 28th.

Massachusetts

Happier Valley Comedy Show, Libraries in the Woods, and all Other Leverett Library Events

According to their website, the Leverett Library will be closed from Tuesday, March 17 through Wednesday, April 8.  All programs and meetings that were scheduled to take place in the library are canceled or postponed. Happier Valley has also canceled all of its in-person events until further notice. However, they are offering live remote shows on their website. You can find them here.

Missouri

The Big Muddy Folk Festival

The Friends of Historic Boonville were forced to cancel the Big Muddy this year due to COVID-19. They released the following statement on their website:

“Due to the current health situation in the United States, the 29th Annual Big Muddy Folk Festival has been canceled.   This decision was not made lightly but we feel it is in the best interest for public safety, given that a large portion of our audience and musicians travel a great distance to come to Boonville.
