Gray Patriot Parents Working to Bring S.T.E.A.M. Resources to Russell Elementary School

A proposal from by Tiffany Chandler & Julie Watt states,” As technology changes, traditional methods of teaching science and technology are rapidly changing as well. Textbooks, along with the occasional experiments are not sufficient. Students need a hands-on approach that allows them to engage in their subject. Learning through problem solving, creating, designing, and collaboration. This way of learning is essential to prepare them for the career paths of the future. Science & Technology, interpreted through Engineering & the Arts, all based in Mathematical elements, or S.T.E.A.M. as it is often referred to, is what will enhance in classroom learning for the children at Russell School in Gray, ME.”
