Pharmaceutical executives hire new personnel based on a number of factors, including experience, skills and personality. However, the quality of your pharmacist resume examples may only be the difference between a complete rejection and securing an interview.

First impressions

An improperly designed resume can make a candidate look unprofessional. A successful resume is easy to read, easy to understand and allows the potential employer to visualize the candidate. The right font, printed in clean black, such as Calibri size 10, reads well and makes a resume look professional at a glance.


Each resume should open with the candidate's name and contact information. While this section may seem simple, many job seekers get it wrong. Potential employers and recruiters turn to this section to begin creating a mental picture of each candidate: what he or she offers and how they fit the criteria for the job. Therefore, it is important that these details be clear, concise and simple.

Name and contact information, including full address and zip code, should be centered at the top of the page. Make sure your email address looks professional.

If you are currently employed, list your position in this section. Also, listing your collegiate number makes it easy for a manager or recruiter to confirm your identity and enrollment status.

Size Matters

There is much debate about how long a resume should be. When it comes to health care, an overabundance of information is usually better than a resume with little detail. This is because a lack of experience, qualifications and accreditation will limit job prospects. That said, as a rule, resumes should be longer than three pages.
